as you look at these photos of the Dior Haute Couture show, you must first press play and enjoy the Ascot Gavotte scene from My Fair Lady because it makes the equiestrian-meets-fashion experience more enjoyable. plus, who doesn't love this movie? sing it with me? ;)
what a smashing, positively dashing spectacle the Ascot opening dayyy
now time for some Galliano for Dior
these are the kind of gowns I would have died for senior year prom...le sigh
oops! long time no update...no point in using "daily" in the title of my blog if I'm not going to update it at least every other day, but I've been busy with sorority things...now that I'm free I can blog again!
Magdalena by Josh Olins for Dazed & Confused Viktor & Rolf SS 2010
I can't decide whether or not I like these looks better on the runway or the red carpet. while something can look so good at a fashion show, taking it out of that context takes a lot away from the dress and it ends up being on the worst dressed list, when really the dress is beautiful (sorry that was a long sentence...) you get what I mean though?

Chloe Sevingy in Valentino Spring 2010 I know I'm going to get a lot of flack for this but I really did not like this dress. it looks so different from the side but once she turns face-on it's a diff story

Mariah Carey in Hervé Léger Fall 2009 I think this one speaks for itself...haha
though I didn't get a chance to watch the full red carpet coverage, I peeped WWD and JustJared for photos. judging from what I saw, it looked like a very pastel & neutral tone gown night but here are my picks for best dressed:
who do you think deserves best dressed of the night???
this is random, but thanks so much for reading/following my blog. a year ago, I never thought this would be such a part of my life...even your lives! if anyone's interested in doing a link exchange please message me here because I'd love to have a better blog roll on this site. besos!
want to start 2010 right? put on some sparkle & shine.

here are some of my favorite sequined looks. what are your favorites?
I dedicate my 100th post to Chanel and why it is the true apple of my eye.
the below images are a reflection of how Chanel can transform any aspect of life to sheer class.
who would pass up a sport if that person knew she could play with Chanel equipment? I wouldn't..
for a mere $2,750 you can ski in class, or fish for $18,000 worth of fishing rods. hell, you can ride in style with the signature quilted leather bicycle for $17,000! what a steal...
the best feature of this bike: the detachable flap bags that can be used as individual purses. amazing.
even better, Karl hasn't forgotten about safety first so here's the Chanel helmet that even comes with an iPod connector!
scooters are all the rage right now (I could be making that up, though...) at least in la, where my school's public safety prides itself in circling the campus in their sedgeway scooters. if you want to ride the classy way, I suggest investing in one of these beauties
not sure if it's being manufactured yet but it was announced earlier in 2009 so hopefully soon!
if you're into different modes of transportation other than a bicycle, I suggest driving this Chanel coupe
it's only a concept car but a girl can dream, right? watch the video of the south korean student, Jin Young Jo, that designed the car here.
what I really love, though, is this acoustic guitar. I swear, if I was a guitar player I'd be strumming these strings even if it would cost me $4,030!
are you a surfer? I certainly am not (I tried, I failed, I gave up) but if I were I'd catch waves with the Chanel surfboard but since I'm not, wouldn't it also be a fun decorative piece for an apartment? at $3,875 it can be yours.
for the working individual, here's a briefcase that can very well fit everything you need...or at least everything you need that's specifically Chanel (a 2.55, makeup, powder and rouge, sunglasses, and print a Chanel Logo iPod)
if you're ever in Paris and want to experience a night in Coco Chanel's home life, I suggest staying at the Coco Chanel suite at the Ritz
for $4,300 per night it's one of the world's most expensive hotel suites (according to the travel channel)
doesn't this make you want to win the lotto? happy sunday!
how was everyone's new years eve? I spent my december 31st with one of my best friends, her boyfriend, and their group of friends cooking, watching bet, stand-up comedy, playing apples to apples, drinking bubbly (cider for me due to my unimpenetrable stomache) staying up way past our bedtime...
I bought that first ring at New York & Company a couple days ago in hopes of wearing it new years eve but I totally forgot...woomp woomp! as I was about to buy the second ring, I was reminded of it's poor craftmanship & steep price for such a cheap ring so I didn't buy it but I just thought I'd share since it reminded me of these Monica Vinader rings (1, 2) but of course, the much cheaper version.
I'm going shopping today for some new threads to wear during my little vacay in NYC next week! so excited but not looking forward to the cold brrrrr
